The department was called Saturday morning to the west side of the city for a reported house fire with possible people still inside. Upon arrival crews found a 1 story house with heavy fire coming through the roof over the garage and heavy smoke through-out the rest of the house. A primary search was conducted and was negative. The homeowners arrived and advised no one was in the house. Firefighters made an aggressive interior attack and had the fire under control in about 25 minutes. There was extensive fire damage to the kitchen and the roof of the structure. There was also heavy smoke damage throughout the house. Units that responded were Engines 1, 2, 6, Rescue 1, Ladder 1, Unit 202, and Chief 101.
